Originally called Lake Toccoa, it became Lake Blue Ridge in 1934.

Approximately 90 minutes from Atlanta, Lake Blue Ridge is 11 miles long with over 65 miles of shoreline. Lake Blue Ridge is a home for many species of fish. With over 75 percent of the Lake Blue Ridge shoreline being undeveloped, it is a haven for the nature lover in all of us.

Many hiking trails in the area traverse the Lake Blue Ridge shoreline or wind along the ridges above this pristine lake. Public camping areas, beaches, and a marina are all featured on this gorgeous North Georgia lake .
